Golden Oreo Cupcakes for Arron's last day

one of my best friends at work, if not my best, is leaving us for another company. thank god it's right down the hill and he lives so close! otherwise, i'd be slightly traumatized.

nothing a few cupcakes can't fix! i made 36 cupcakes for my coworkers today - i better be the office favorite.

michelle and i made them them recently, so i just had to make them again because they were so delish! i made a slight variation, but same ingredients! i just used golden oreos with chocolate for the bottom of the cupcake and for the garnish :) you can find the recipe here at Annie's Eats.

check out that spreadddddd...so many!!

loooove the gold sprinkles!

enjoy!! :)

**note: i used fat free cream cheese for the frosting. use full fat if you don't want it to be runny like mine....

Cake Pops!! Bakerella Style!

Inspired by Bakerella (who is AMAZING, btw), I made cake pops for Ashton's Bridal Shower! Me and Michelle got together on the Friday night before (she conveniently also had a bridal shower to attend) and made these little suckers! They aren't as easy as you'd think, folks! I had quite a few get screwed up and even my "good" ones, were screwy. :)

I made purple, and she made pink! :) love these little guys, they were a hit!

For the recipe/prep, see MICHELLE'S BLOGGY!

RIP Nikon Coolpix

I got this camera as a gift at christmas from my ex-bf. it's now in two pieces due to a sticky bar. the entire back of the camera was a touch screen that is now separated from the actual camera. sweet life.

sweet modeling of the cam, joejoe.

R.I.P. - thank god for Best Buy insurance, i should be getting a new one shortly! Thank goodness i keep two cameras around at all times so i could snap this shot!

Honey Banana Blueberry Cake Puffs!

Honey Banana Blueberry Cake Puffs
(adapted from *picky palate)

1 box sugar free yellow cake mix

4 large bananas, mashed (about 2 1/2 Cups)

1 cup fresh blueberries

2 Tablespoons normal honey

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place all ingredients into bowl and combine well.

Use a cookie scoop and scoop dough onto a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 11-15 minutes or until cooked through. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

4 dozen-ish cookies

I found this recipe and made it the next day for our all girl's dinner party! These were such a hit, and I couldn't just eat 1...or 2...or 3! Please make these, they are SO simple and so delish! and really, they require no skills!

*also - I can't take credit for the prep on this one, my sister Claire made them all :) and she did a great job for someone who claims she can't cook or bake!

Sienna baby

she looooooooooooves lollipops. she really always has loved things on sticks (popsicles, omg.), but she is so aggressive about them now! she will literally eat it right out of your mouth if you aren't careful!

i love her.

Hokie Love

as mentioned in my post yesterday, i wanted to brand myself and all my little fun things that i make. wellll...by now, y'all prob know that i work on impulse, and this little project shows it! last night, i made 20 of these Hokie clips for all my Hokie girls to wear to the game and to show Hokie pride all year long! my fingers hurt. but it was so fun!

of course i had to make tags because i can't wait until my stamp comes in :)

made by madeleine.

bloggy friends! as time has gone on, i've had a lot of people ask for my flowers, headbands, pins, whatevs, to accessorize themselves! i am thrilled!

soooo....as a result of the positive feedback, i decided that i wanted to "brand" myself!

the past few days, michelle (my extremely creative bestie) and i discussed possible brand-y names/logos/colors! she whipped up this bad boy in no time, and i am SO EXCITED!! it represents me and my crafts well: simple, clean, lovely. :)

To keep my options open, i decided to order a rubber stamp ! YAY for colored stamps and paper! i figure that from this point forward, i can just attach this "branding" on a ribbon or a piece of cardstock to my crafted items! can't wait to show you what it looks like when it comes!
